Asthma – Drinking crushed seed infusion helps

Athletes Foot - Crushed seed infusion as wash/soak

Back Pain (Lower) – Apply fresh or wilted (soak, by fire or steam) leaves to the area. Another option is a *poultice (mash fresh leaves and stems or ground seeds) •

Bites – A ground seed *poultice, applied directly to the bitten area, is effective as a disinfectant, it relieves pain, swelling and draws out the poison from insect and snakebites

Boils – Ground seed *poultice to draw out infection

Colds - Crushed seed infusion •

Congestion (Nasal) – Drink crushed seed infusion

Congestion (Chest) -  A *poultice (mash fresh leaves and stems or ground seeds) on chest and/or drink leaf infusion

Earache – pour cooled seed (crushed) infusion into ear

Eczema – Wash with strong leaf or crushed seed infusion

Footache – Crushed seed infusion or fresh leaf and stem infusion as wash/soak

Fungus (Skin) - Crushed seed infusion as wash and/or for compress

Gas - Crushed seed infusion

Head Cold – Snuff ground seeds

Headache – Options are to apply fresh or wilted (soak, by fire or steam) leaves to forehead; inhale aromatics from crushed seed infusion; apply cool seed or cool leaf infusion compress to the forehead

Hemorrhoids – Make a crushed seed infusion. Take internally then dip a clean cotton ball into the warm liquid and pat the affected area. Repeat several times during the day as needed. Do not reuse the cotton ball. For internal use, mustard acts as a hemorrhoid decongestant. In external applications it has anti-inflammatory effects and acts as a disinfectant

High Blood Pressure – Drink leaf infusion

Indigestion - Crushed seed infusion or leaf infusion

Infection (External) – Wash with strong leaf infusion and/or apply ground seed *poultice or seed infusion compress to draw out infection
